DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a
manner inconsistent with its label.
This product is not to be used as a terminal
sterilant/high level disinfectant on any surface or
instrument that (1) is introduced directly into the
human body, either into or in contact with the
bloodstream or normally sterile areas of the body, or
(2) contacts intact mucous membranes but which
does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or
otherwise enter normally sterile areas of the body.
This product may be used to pre-clean or
decontaminate critical or semi-critical devices prior to
sterilization or high-level disinfection.
This cleaner and disinfectant is designed for use in
institutions such as HOSPITALS, NURSING HOMES,
and SCHOOLS where housekeeping will be of prime
importance in controlling the hazard of crossinfection.
It is effective against Staphylococcus
aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis and Pseudomonas
aeruginosa PRD-10 (substantiated by the AOAC Use
Dilution Confirmation Test). It is also effective against
pathogenic fungi Trichlophyton interdigitale.
When used on environmental hard surfaces at 2
ounces per gallon of water, this product is also
effective against:
• Influenza A2 (Flu virus)
• Herpes Simplex (Cold sores, fever blisters)
• Adenovirus type 2, (Acute respiratory
disease)
• Vaccinia (Smallpox virus)
TO DISINFECT: For floors, walls, sink tops, garbage
pails, telephones, restrooms, bed pans and operating
room tables and floors. For heavily soiled areas, a
preliminary cleaning is recommended. Apply 2 oz.
per gallon of water to hard nonporous surface with a
mop, cloth, or sponge, thoroughly wetting surfaces.
Treated surfaces must remain wet for 10 minutes.
Wipe dry with cloth, sponge or mop, or allow to air
dry. Prepare a fresh solution daily or more often if
the use solution becomes visibly soiled or diluted.
